Terms of Service
1. Scope of Services
Sheppard Home & Property provides small-job home repairs, maintenance, and property care services.
2. Estimates and Approval
Estimates provided are for informational purposes based on initial project descriptions. Estimates are not binding service agreements until explicitly accepted by the customer and confirmed by us. Final costs may vary based on actual site conditions.
3. Scheduling
We strive to adhere to agreed-upon dates; however, schedules are subject to change due to weather, material availability, or completion of prior jobs. We will communicate any necessary adjustments as early as possible.
4. Customer Responsibilities
Customers must ensure clear and safe access to the work area. Please remove fragile items or obstacles before work begins. We are not responsible for moving heavy furniture unless specifically included in the estimate.
5. Changes and Additional Work
Any requests for work beyond the original approved estimate will require a separate quote. We will not proceed with additional tasks until the change in scope and cost is accepted.
6. Payment
Payment is due upon completion of the service unless otherwise specified. For larger projects, a deposit for materials or progress payments may be required.
7. Cancellations
Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice when possible. Any cancellation or rescheduling terms will be communicated before service is confirmed.
8. Materials
Unless otherwise agreed, the cost of materials is not included in the labor estimate. Customers may provide materials, or we can purchase them and add the cost to the final invoice.
9. Workmanship Concerns
Please contact us promptly with any concern about completed work. Any remedy will depend on the approved scope, site conditions, materials, and applicable law; no blanket warranty is created by these terms.
10. Limitation of Liability
Our liability is limited to the cost of the services provided. We are not liable for pre-existing conditions or indirect damages resulting from the work performed.
11. Photos and Communications
We may take photos of work areas for documentation or estimate purposes. We will respect your privacy and will not share photos that identify your specific location without permission.
12. Termination
Either party may terminate the service agreement at any time. The customer is responsible for payment of all labor performed and materials purchased up to the point of termination.
13. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina.
